horse rider physiotherapy

Reduce pain and improve your riding experience.

Helping you identify movement impairments in yourself and transferring this knowledge to ensure your horse is using its body to the best of its ability!

  • Lower back pain or aching.

  • Pelvic pain

  • Foot going numb in the stirrup

  • Pinching through the front of the hip.

Your riding is not what you want it to be

You're in pain. You're feeling off balance. Instead of an enjoyable ride, you’re experiencing…

  • Restriction or tightness through the front of your hip.

  • Feeling like you cannot steady yourself in the saddle (feeling off balance).

If you have anything that is not quite right, it will be amplified in your horse, creating pain and injury for them too.

When you ride with an asymmetry in your body, even a subtle imbalance can have a huge impact on your horse. As riders, it is our responsibility to make sure we are sitting correctly under saddle before we ask our horse to do something. It’s impossible for you to see on your own what’s happening with your spine and your movement pattern when you ride.

That’s where the assessment of a physiotherapist can give you the insight you need to become a better rider.
